Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo), the great writer, arrived in Matsue City in 1890 as an English teacher. He later married Setsu, a daughter of a samurai family, and left behind many ghost stories such as "Hoichi the Earless" and "Yuki-onna." For the past 37 years, Nakamura Chaho has been collaborating with his great-grandson, Mr. Koizumi Bon, to sell original products related to Lafcadio Hearn.
