"Lafcadio Coffee" is an original coffee from Nakamura Chaho, created with advice and tasting from Mr. Koizumi Bon, Lafcadio Hearn's great-grandson, by the fourth generation of our family. It has been 37 years since its creation. You can enjoy authentic coffee by simply placing the drip bag in a cup and pouring hot water over it. It is a light roast with little bitterness, allowing you to enjoy the natural flavor and sweetness of the beans.

Hearn preferred Western food, and daily coffee was an absolute must for him. While in New Orleans, he even published a Creole recipe book and described coffee culture in it. Even today, it is a daily custom in the Koizumi family to offer coffee to the Buddhist altar every morning.
