Bunko-style Lafcadio Coffee "Tsunagari"
This original blend coffee is themed around "coffee that makes you feel close to Yakumo." The "Tsukiyo Blend" is a deeply roasted coffee with a strong bitterness and richness, offering a satisfying flavor. When you open the box, you'll find an episode from Yakumo's stories titled "Connections." You can also enjoy "The Story of Mochida-no-Ura," a one-page ghost story set in Matsue.
<About Bunko-style Lafcadio Coffee>
While Yakumo is famous for his ghost stories, his personality, life, and philosophies are still not widely known. In 2009 and 2014, Nakamura Chaho was invited by Mr. Koizumi Bon, Lafcadio Hearn's great-grandson, to attend the International Symposium on Lafcadio Hearn in Greece. In 2015, they had the opportunity to connect with local people through a matcha experience as part of the "Open Mind of Lafcadio Hearn" project, which was finally held in his home country, Ireland. Born in Greece, raised in Ireland, and eventually naturalized in Japan, changing his name to "Koizumi Yakumo," Lafcadio Hearn was a literary giant. He traveled through foreign lands and finally found spiritual peace in Japan. This coffee offers an aroma and taste that connects people across borders and time. We hope that with every drop, you can feel Yakumo's gaze. Through Yakumo's stories × ghost stories × coffee, we aim to provide a moment for you to ponder the person that was the literary giant, Koizumi Yakumo.
