New Lafcadio Coffee [BA-32]

"Lafcadio Coffee" is an original coffee developed by Nakamura Chaho in 1988 as an homage to Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo), a literary figure associated with Matsue. This is a light roast drip bag coffee that minimizes bitterness and maximizes the rich flavor inherent in the beans, as well as a refined sweetness.

Yakumo preferred Western-style food, and his daily coffee was an absolutely essential beverage. When he was in New Orleans, he even published a cookbook of Creole recipes in which he described the coffee culture. Even today, it is a daily ritual for the Koizumi family to offer coffee at the family altar every morning.
