Izumo-yaki Rakuzan kiln

This is Rakuzan-gama, Izumo-yaki, famous as the official kiln of the Matsue Domain. The characteristics of Rakuzan-yaki lie in its traditional tea ceremony pottery techniques, such as Goryeo-utsushi, Irabo-utsushi, and hakeme. Among these, the warm, golden yellow glaze and the simple yet strong earthy texture have been highly praised by tea masters.
