This is a Shirotake Kazuhosa chasen (white bamboo tea whisk) from Takayama Chasen in Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture. It has approximately 60 tines. It is characterized by its ability to create fine foam easily and its slightly thinner handle. Before use, please soften the tines by passing them through hot water. After use, thoroughly drain any moisture and dry it completely in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures/humidity, and using a chasen kusenaoshi (whisk shaper) will help maintain its beautiful shape for a long time.
