New Lafcadio Coffee [BA-12]

"Lafcadio Coffee" is Nakamura Chaho's original coffee, developed in 1988 as an homage to the Matsue-related literary figure, Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo). This light-roasted drip bag coffee minimizes bitterness, maximizing the rich flavor inherent in the beans and a refined sweetness.

Yakumo preferred Western-style food, and daily coffee was an absolutely indispensable beverage for him. When he was in New Orleans, he even published a Creole cookbook in which he wrote about coffee culture. Even now, in the Koizumi family, offering coffee to the Buddhist altar every morning is a daily routine.
