This original coffee blend is themed around "Coffee that makes you feel close to Yakumo." Yakumo is famous for his ghost stories, but his personality, life, and philosophy are still not widely known. This product was created with the cooperation of Mr. Bon Koizumi, Lafcadio Hearn's great-grandson.

About Lafcadio Coffee (Bunkobon style)

Yakumo is famous for his ghost stories, but his personality, life, and philosophy are still not widely known. In 2009 and 2014, Nakamura Chaho was invited by Mr. Bon Koizumi, Lafcadio Hearn's great-grandson, to attend an international symposium on Lafcadio Hearn held in Greece. In 2015, they finally held the "Open Mind of Lafcadio Hearn" project in his home country of Ireland, where they connected with locals through matcha tea ceremonies. Lafcadio Hearn, a literary giant, was born in Greece, raised in Ireland, and eventually naturalized in Japan, changing his name to "Koizumi Yakumo." He wandered through foreign lands and finally found peace for his soul in Japan. The aroma and taste connect people across borders and time. We hope that in every drop, you can feel Yakumo's gaze. Through Yakumo's stories × ghost stories × coffee, we hope to provide you with a moment to ponder the individual known as Lafcadio Hearn, the literary giant.
