This is a authentic Shiratake chasen (tea whisk) from Takayama, Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture. It has approximately 60 bristles. Its distinctive slender handle makes it suitable for thick tea (koicha) as well. Before use, please soak it in hot water to soften the bristles.
