This is an incense container in the shape of an "Esen" (picture coin) called "Komahikizeni" (horse-pulling coin), made by Kokuwa Nagaoka of Izumo-yaki Rakuzan kiln. Various Esen were created as charms and lucky tokens, imitating real coins. The "Komahikizeni," which depicts a horse, is considered a charm for good fortune and money.
