Yaekasane, referred to as "Fumai-ko Mei" or "Fumai-ko Yurai," is frequently mentioned in the Fumai-ko Tea Ceremony Records from 1813, 1814, and 1816, suggesting that it was actually used as an incense in tea ceremonies.
In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of Fumai-ko in 2018, we have named this product "Yaekasane" and attempted to blend incenses based on ancient records of their preparation.
Please enjoy the profound yet serene fragrance woven from various aromatic ingredients, as you reflect on Fumai-ko's great achievements. (Supervised by Akikazu Otani, instructor of Kodo Oie-ryu)
